Yogurt and Chia Overnight Oats

Psssst…. overnight oats don’t have to sit overnight in the fridge 🤭.

That’s right! You can make your “overnight oats” a few hours in advance of when you plan to eat them. When I wake up craving them, I’ll make them in the morning in time for lunch!

And like so many of my recipes, this one includes a shortcut! The coconut part of the oats comes from using ✨coconut-flavored yogurt✨!

Besides being able to enjoy oatmeal during the hotter months, this recipe is a double-whammy of goodness because you also get chia pudding in the very same meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 container of coconut-blended Greek yogurt (size: 5.3 oz)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Toppings of choice

Directions:

  1. Add oats to a jar.
  2. Mix in water and yogurt. Mix very well.
  3. Once the oats are well mixed with the liquid, add in chia seeds and mix well again.
  4. Close off jar with lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Add toppings and enjoy!

Last Thoughts:

✔️You can add your toppings when you prepare the oats if they’re going to be a grab-n-go meal.

✔️Change it up by using a different yogurt flavor.

✔️If you find it needs to be sweeter, try adding milk in place of water

✔️Topping Ideas: berries, mango, coconut flakes, peanut butter, nuts, seeds. This list could go on forever.
