First of all, I am a nutrition nerd who loves to eat! I love anything food related: trying out new recipes, eating new foods, creating recipes….

Who Am I?

My name is Ruth Jimenez, I am the creator of this blog. I recently became a registered dietitian nutritionist, a journey that took many years of hard work! I also hold a master’s degree in Nutrition. I am based in Southern California, where I was born and raised!

What Is This Blog About?

 What started as a desire to simply document my new health journey on Instagram turned into genuine love for sharing knowledge, experiences, and support with others.

My intent with this blog is to celebrate food. I want you to feel good about all foods and no guilt associated with eating. I do not believe that weight is the best measure of health but instead I think it’s important to incorporate health-improving habits into one’s life. I acknowledge health is complex & multi-faceted, and will look different for everyone. 

Lastly, I have been on an intuitive eating journey. I am trying to get away from the clean plate mentality I was raised with as well as completely reject the sneaky diet mentality. Personally, my focus is to nurture a positive relationship with food and exercise.

Expect to see nutrition content presented through a Health At Every Size®, weight-inclusive lens. I am a proud queer Latina and will not hold space here (or on my other social platforms) for hate. 

What’s Next?

I will continue to create recipes and share my nutrition knowledge as I begin my career as a dietitian. I plan to launch a virtual private practice and provide nutrition care for Latinx people. Hopefully soon I will be able to provide 1:1 nutrition counseling. Wish me luck!
